VALLEY ARCADE TOURNAMENT – OFFICIAL RULES FOR SPONSORED EVENTS
A. sponsor
The sponsored tournament is operated by Valley Arcade Games Inc. (“Valley”). Each tournament may be sponsored by a different third-party promotional partner (each, a “Sponsor”). Valley administers and operates the tournament in partnership with Sponsors and participating venues.
B. Eligibility
Open to individuals worldwide who are at least eighteen (18) years old at the time of entry.
Void where prohibited, restricted, or subject to registration, bonding, or licensing requirements by applicable law.
Entrants must be legally permitted to participate in skill-based competitions and to receive prizes in their jurisdiction of residence.
Residents of jurisdictions where prize competitions are restricted or where cash prizes cannot legally be awarded may participate but are not eligible to receive cash prizes and may instead receive an alternative prize of equal value.
Valley reserves the right to verify eligibility, including age, identity, and jurisdiction of residence, and to disqualify any entrant who does not meet these requirements.
Employees of Valley are not eligible.
C. Tournament Period
Each tournament runs for approximately one (1) week unless otherwise specified.
The start and end times will be displayed at the venue or on the official tournament listing.
D. How to Enter
Free Entry
Players may enter the tournament at no cost by:
Creating or logging into a Valley account
Registering via the official tournament page, or
Requesting entry at a participating venue where available
Limit one (1) free leaderboard placement per person per tournament unless otherwise stated. No purchase, or payment is required to enter or win.
E. Game Play & Scoring
- This is a skill-based competition.
Winners are determined based on objective in-game performance metrics, including but not limited to:
– highest score
– ranking or progression - No element of chance determines the outcome.
In the event of a tie, Valley reserves the right to apply tie-breaking criteria, including but not limited to the earliest qualifying score or additional gameplay rounds
f. Prizes
Prize details and approximate retail value (ARV) will be displayed at the venue or on the official listing.
All prizes are:
• provided by Valley and/or Sponsors
• promotional in nature
• not funded by player payments, entry fees, or gameplay activity
Prize pools may vary by tournament and may change on a weekly or event-by-event basis.
Valley reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if necessary.
G. Prize delivery
Prizes will be delivered via approved methods, including but not limited to:
• digital payment platforms
• other authorized payout methods
Winners must be legally able to receive payment in their jurisdiction. Only eligible entrants who have been verified in accordance with these Official Rules may be declared winners and receive prizes.
If a winner cannot legally receive a cash prize due to local laws, payment restrictions, or compliance requirements, they will only be provided with a ticket pool allocation.
Winners will be notified by email and asked to complete a Google Form to submit payment details. It is the winner’s responsibility to provide accurate information.
Forms must be completed within 4 weeks of winning. Failure to do so will result in forfeiture of the prize.
Payments are processed by Valley bi-monthly; they are not instant payouts.
h. Taxes
Winners are solely responsible for all applicable taxes, duties, and reporting requirements.
U.S. winners receiving $600 or more must submit a completed IRS Form W-9
Non-U.S. winners may be required to submit applicable tax documentation (e.g. W-8BEN)
Failure to provide required documentation may result in forfeiture of the prize.
I. Conduct
Valley reserves the right to disqualify any participant who:
- tampers with gameplay or scoring systems
- uses cheats, exploits, or unauthorized modifications
- violates venue or platform rules
- engages in disruptive, abusive, or unsafe behavior
J. General Conditions
Valley reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the tournament if necessary due to fraud, technical issues, legal requirements, or other factors beyond its control.
Valley’s decisions regarding all aspects of the tournament are final and binding.
K. Release
By participating, entrants agree to release and hold harmless Valley, Sponsors, participating venues, and their respective affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from any liability arising from participation in the tournament or acceptance, use, or misuse of any prize.
